The musicians teamed up to create melodic metal, combining traditional heavy/power metal sounds with epic elements of symphonic metal. In addition, a defining characteristic of the band is a diverse, powerful, defiant and sometimes strict and soulful female vocal.  

In 2014, after many rehearsals, Kliodna performed on stage for the first time. At that moment the band was fully staffed, and in September 2014 the musicians released the first EP "Set Me Free", which included 4 songs. Until the end of the year, the band was giving several local shows and recording an album simultaneously. The following year Kliodna took part in some local festivals as well as in several club concerts, shared the stage in their hometown with the German band Van Canto, increasing their fame and gaining new fans.  

In January 2016 the debut album "The Dark Side..." was released. Over the following years, two singles were also released: "Fly Far Away" (2017) and "Inside out" (2018). The song “Frozen Soul” from the band's first album was also translated into their native language and released as a single.  

The forced suspension of activities due to covid had been used to compose songs for a new album, which was released on October 2022.

The new album includes 9 brand new songs. Some of them are real action movies, the others are completely symphonic pieces. The album has already featured several guest musicians, including Ralf Scheepers and Fabio Lione. The artwork is created by renowned artist Giannis Nakos.  

A number of shows outside the country are also planned for 2023.
